Doctor Faustroll

“Dr. Faustroll,” They Ask, “What’s Got Into You?”
I’m old enough to remember when “Shivers” was called “They Came From Within,” & this was the poster I saw before going in to the first matinee at the Clemson Theatre in 1975 & proceeded to watch every showing until the film was replaced by “Rooster Cockblisters."
This poster also reminds me of Dinah Moe Humm, by my long-dead buddy Frank Zappa, who wrote what I consider to be the greatest poem about shits & giggles in the English language since Jonathan Swift’s “The Lady’s Dressing Room.” I wouldn’t be surprised if Cronenberg hadn’t already heard about Dinah Moe & had also made a bet with her sister who was a little bit dumb. Ain’t that just the way it is? Some things will never change. That’s just the way it is. Give it a listen, you #Deadbeats, & tell me you’ve ever heard a more delightful phrasing than:
“I got a spot that gets me hot
& you ain’t been to it.
I got a spot that gets me hot
& you ain’t been to it. NO!”
