Didn’t Mean To Imply They Were As Valuable As Real Americans

“I never said African Americans are worth as much as real Americans,” the nattering nabob of nimrodery, noting that “Negroes have never been considered equal to real Americans, if you look at the original Constitution given to us by Jesus. They were never supposed to count as more than four-fifths of a vote, & real Americans who love our great heritage have been trying to restore the order envisioned by what even the savages called “the great White Father” ever since. I think we all agree that African Americans should do just fine if they just stop whining, do as they’re told & stop trying to impose their Yankee notion of what it means equal on the good people who live in God’s chosen Dixie, which is reserved for good Christians like you & me.”
